I’ve been doing a LOT of desk work lately to manage and promote my upcoming Great BIG Canadian Road Trip 🇨🇦. Turns out 26 concerts over 10,000 kms is a LOT of logistics to look after. As a fully INDEPENDENT artist, I’ve had to learn how to do more with less much like many who struggle to survive in this digital age. I see my work and my life as one and the same so I’m willing to put in the extra effort to keep my concerts happening. Without these physical, face to face, social gatherings I feel lost and disconnected. The shows must go on.
I sometimes have to stop and remind myself the most important thing I do is make music to SHARE with people. That’s the reason I’m still here on this planet. So this morning I stole a few hours away from my screen and picked up my old guitar and started SINGING…and it felt really, really, GOOD.
I’m not finished working on this one yet but I know that it WILL eventually become a SONG and that leaves me feeling encouraged and reassured. I don’t know if, when, or how I will be able to record and produce it, or even how I might eventually share it with the world but thats not important right now. All that really matters to me today is that I was able to make “SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT”.
I hope I get to sing it with you all out there somewhere soon ❤️
